I mine ører er der ikke noget så godt og smukt som engelsk musik, specielt når fortolkningerne er så meget i særklasse som Sir Adrian Boult fortolkninger af Vaughan-Williams 9 symfonier og andre orkesterværker.
Mange andre dirigenter har også forsøgt sig med Vaughan-Williams symfonier og det lykkedes sådan nogenlunde for de fleste. Men Sir Adrian Boult's versioner står stadig som referencen, at de så tillige er virkeligt Teknisk Fremragende optaget rent lydmæssigt gør jo ikke sagen ringere. TF & TF/E
