Sergei Rachmaninov (1873-1943) was a Russian composer, pianist and conductor. After 1918 he lived in exile, mainly in the United States. Rachmaninov had not much time to compose and therefore wrote slowly. His production is limited. He wrote three symphonies and four piano concertos, symphonic dances for orchestra. choral works; bells, Vesper, Vocalise, and a one acts opera named Aleko. As well as a number of works for solo piano.

Maurice Ravel (1875-1937) was a French composer and pianist. He was one time student of Gabriel Fauré in composition.
Ravel considered alongside Claude Debussy as the greatest French composer of the 20th century. In general, his works of high musical quality and characterized by great craftsmanship. His best-known work is Boléro, which is one of the most famous pieces of classical music at all from the 20th century.

Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov (1844-1908) was a Russian composer. Rimsky-Korsakov is known for his operas and his symphonic poems, especially Sheherazade.
He has written 15 operas from which many orchestral excerpts have been particularly popular, including "Humlebiens drain" from Zar Zaltan. He has also written a number of orchestral music. He completed and orchestrated several unfinished works by Borodin and Moussorgsky, mostly known by his orchestrations are Boris Godunov. Has written 15 operas: Princess Snowflake, Sadko, The Golden Cockerel, Mozart and Salieri and Tsar Saltan (1900). three symphonies. Joaquin Rodrigo (1901-1999), was a Spanish composer, pianist and guitarist.
He became blind as a 3 year old. He was strongly influenced by Spanish folk music. His enormous output includes several concerts, but only one of them is world famous: Concierto de Aranduez for guitar and orchestra. Especially the slow movement, which sounds like an Andalusian folk song, has become incredibly popular.

Gioachino Rossini (1792-1868) was a popular Italian composer who wrote 39 operas as well as sacred music, chamber music, songs, and some instrumental pieces and piano pieces. His most famous works include the opera Il barbiere di Siviglia, La cenerentola, La gazza ladra and Guillaume Tell). His talent for song-like melodies and music that is easy to remember gave him the nickname "The Italian Mozart." Until he stopped his composer deed in 1829 was the Rossini's most popular opera composer in history.
